EPSY FRONT BAR: This Friday Winterun head back south o’ the river to lay waste to the Esplanade Hotel. Supporting Don Fernando for thier CD Launch, Winterun will be unfurling new tunes FOR FREE in the Espy Front Bar. Also in support will be psychodelic-riff-merchants The Legs (for a one-off reunion show) and the Violet Flames. Wrap your laughin gear ’round that groove sandwich!!!

In other news the band reccently joined forces with the scarily awesome team at Thrash House Enterprises. Winterun are proud to be the newest edition to Thrash Houses great stable of bands, including Frankenbok, Dreadnaught and Clagg, and are primed for the heavy grooves to follow. Cheers to Lex and the T.H.E crew!!

Those that have witnessed the last few Winterun shows will have noticed that the blistered fingers of bass duties have changed hands. Gav Hayes has moved on to pursue other worldly pursuits, ending nigh-on five years of great riffing and good times with the band. On behalf of the entire Winterun clan, we wish him well.
Joining the fold in the low end slot is Matt Taylor. Matt comes to the band with a barrel of musical talent, a well-hardened liver and a 6-stringed bass of doom!!! As a result, new tracks are already in the works and are sounding slick. Those in Melbourne, come down and welcome Matt (and some new tunes) to the Winterun clan at the Heavy Duty Festival at the Tote, Saturday August 30.
